After opening, our products are safe to eat through their shelf life if stored properly in the fridge. They typically maintain their best taste for about two to three months. The expiration date is determined based on freshness of taste over time. Unfortunately, if a product is past the expiration date we cannot guarantee the level of freshness of the item. You are welcome to use your senses to examine the product, but it is safest to toss that jar out.
